I try to get my basic foods from a farm. Beef from a farmer. I buy a whole or half beef.

Fruits when I can get them I'll freeze like berries or put away sweet potatoes.

Honey from a beekeeper. I usually get from a guy who sells at the Famers Market. I like to have two or three gallons going into the Winter to last until next Summer.

Milk and Eggs I get weekly from a farm - the milk is raw the eggs are fresh.

Green eggs are a thing. Some chickens lay them.

It's one of the cool things about farm eggs.

[Summer] Easter Eggers are a type that lay colored eggs. The colors can vary from brown to green or even pink. My Grammie had two Easter Eggers. They would lay eggs that were turquoise, or aqua or bluish green.
